ENTHUSIASTS!
The 46th Lakefront Festival of Arts kicks off the lakefront festival season
in front of Milwaukee Art Museum’s Santiago Calatrava-designed addition.
Just off the shores of Lake Michigan, this year’s festival will please both
young and old - from more than 170 artists’ exhibits, to fun-filled events
for the kids, to culinary treats, wine samplings and renowned musicians -
this year’s festival is like no other.
RAIN-OR-SHINE FESTIVAL HOURS
Friday, June 20 Noon - 8 p.m.
Saturday, June 21 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Sunday, June 22 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
IN-TENTS ART - The unique galleries of
172 jury-selected artists housed in an impressive state-of-the-art tent
directly in front of the Milwaukee Art Museum. Visit with the artists
one-on-one as they reveal their distinctive talent and creativity in a
variety of media.
COLLEGE ART SHOW - A unique collection
of artwork created by the area’s most-talented college students.
FIBER ART FASHION SHOW - The show’s only
moving exhibit; models walk the grounds wearing featured artists’ jackets,
vests, scarves and other unique fiber art fashions.
SCULPTURE GARDEN - Take a relaxing
stroll and experience landscape-size sculptures designed by this year’s
Festival artists, in a setting created by Hawks Nursery.
CHILDREN’S ART CENTER - Especially for
kids, Creation Station allows Lakefront Festival of Arts’ youngest visitors
to find their inner artist through various creative activities and programs.
SILENT AUCTION - Don’t miss this tent
full of valuable art donated by many of the Festival’s most popular artists.
This event has been described as a mini-festival within the festival.
FABULOUS FOOD - As you feast your eyes
on fantastic art, don’t forget to treat your taste buds to a savory snack
and refreshing beverage from one of our many vendors.
