Silent Auction 2007
Rules for Bidding on
Auction Items
 1.
Bids may be submitted during Festival Hours (Friday, 1 to 8:00 PM)
(Saturday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM) (Sunday, 10:00 AM to close of bidding at
3:00 PM SHARP).
2. Bid forms are to be completed with
Booth No., Artist’s Name and Description of Item AND
Bidder’s Name, Address, and Telephone number(s).
3. Bid Amount may be either (i) a
SINGLE BID, or (ii) a
PROGRESSIVE BID. (Before submitting your
bid, check the Bid Board to see the current high bid for the item you want.
If you bid less than the current high bid, your bid will be disregarded.)
How PROGRESSIVE BIDDING works:
You make an INITIAL BID (which is where
your bidding starts).
You include a FINAL BID (which is as
high as you are willing to bid).
If someone else submits a bid higher than your
initial bid, we will automatically increase your bid to $1.00
over the other person’s bid (up to your final
bid).
4. Retain the
YELLOW copy of the Bid Form so that you have a record of
your bid AND have a record of the pick up times and location if you win.
IN ADDITION, you may also call in (to
the telephone number listed on the Yellow copy of the Bid Form) during the
hours of the Festival (see paragraph 1 above) to check on the status of your
bid (i.e. are you still the high bidder or has someone else bid higher than
you?). If you wish to increase your bid over the telephone, we will revise
your bid in accordance with your instructions (either to increase a single
bid or increase the limit of your progressive bid or to change your bid from
a single bid to a progressive bid).
5. Bidding closes at 3:00 PM
SHARP on Sunday, June 17, 2007.
Winners will be called beginning at 3:30 PM on Sunday and may pick up their
Art Pieces from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM either at the Silent Auction Tent or
by arrangements only at the Festival
Entrance on Michigan Street (South Entrance facing Summerfest Grounds).
Payment is by cash, check payable to LFOA, or MasterCard/Visa.
6. Winners who
are unable to pick up their Art Pieces on Sunday can pay for and
pick up the auction item(s) at 2450 N. Terrace Ave., Milwaukee 53211. Pick
up times are as follows:
Tuesday, June 19, 2007 from 5:00 to 8:00
PM
Thursday, June 21, 2007 from 5:00 to
8:00 PM
Saturday, June 23, 2007 from 10:00 AM to
1:00 PM

arrange for pick-up.
