The 2014 Lakefront Festival of Art is dedicated to Betty Quadracci, champion of the arts and inspiration to many. Betty gave more than 26 years of service to the Milwaukee Art Museum as a volunteer and member of the Board of Trustees, and along with her husband, Harry, made the Quadracci Pavilion possible. Her dedication to the Lakefront Festival of Art was instrumental to its yearly success and to ensuring its longevity.
As someone who believed that a person gets somewhere in life only when helping others get somewhere in life, Betty generously shared her insight, knowledge, wisdom, and passion. For that, she will be missed. And for that, she will be remembered.
About Lakefront Festival of Art
For 50 years, the Lakefront Festival of Art has been bringing art to life on Milwaukee’s lakefront. With close to 30,000 attendees and more than 170 jury-selected artists from across the nation, the Lakefront Festival of Art is a fun-filled destination with art, food, music, and activities for the whole family. What you find here may surprise you.
Named one of the top 25 art festivals in the country, the Lakefront Festival of Art is a showcase of paintings, ceramics, fiber, metalwork, jewelry, and more, all available in a broad range of prices. The “more” includes:
