4:30–6:00PM | Evan Christian
Evan Christian is a self-taught musician from Chicago who’s live show is quickly becoming a must-see event in Milwaukee’s music scene. Christian’s musical stylings include a diverse and broad range of musical styles, including flamenco guitar, jazz, funk, soul, reggae, latin rock, R&B, even hip hop, and he moves between the styles effortlessly and flawlessly.
7:00–8:30PM | Paul Cebar & Tomorrow Sound
Milwaukee native Paul Cebar is a singing, strumming, and dancing museum of musical culture and a self-styled historian of myriad musical forms. He has steadfastly pursued a musical concatenation that is one part early R&B, another Pan-African Lilt, Afro-Cuban by way of New Orleans Slither, qualified by Mid-Western Soul and further distinguished by a gargantuan regard for spoken English. Countless sounds pour forth when Cebar takes the stage. New Orleans, Chicago, New York, Africa, Brazil, Cuba, jump-blues, gospel, jazz, reggae, calypso, soul and vintage R&B are starting points for something that becomes uniquely Cebar.

Milwaukee native Jayme has toured across the country from coast to coast, including her SXSW debut in 2009. She is a 6 time WAMI (Wisconsin Area Music Industry) Nominee, including 2011 Female Vocalist and Pop Artist of the Year. The release of her piano driven pop/rock gem “Shatter Queen” has resulted in national success with her songs being featured on MTV’s “The Real World Hollywood and Brooklyn”, as well as Pandora.com.

De La Buena is a sophisticated Latin dance band that has been electrifying crowds since 2003 with their own modern brand of Afro-Cuban and Latin Jazz. Employing jazz harmonic sensibilities with a deep-seated love of diverse cultures, this 10-piece latin jazz powerhouse explores the textures and rhythms of Latin music’s of the Americas with roots planted firmly in African Diasporic traditions.

Frogwater is the acoustic musical paring of John and Susan Nicholson. Renowned for their musical virtuosity and exuberant live performances, they like to think of themselves as musical ambassadors and describe their style as “eclectic acoustic peoples’ music.” Their repertoire spans from Celtic to Delta Blues, Classical to Pop, with a healthy dose of unique, original material filling out the mix. Their innovative interpretations of traditional tunes span the centuries and the miles and defy categorization.

Over the past 20 years, Peter Mulvey has pursued a restless, eclectic path as a writer and musician – immersing himself in Tin Pan Alley jazz, modern acoustic, poetry, narrative, and Americana stylings. Relentlessly touring as a headliner, he has also shared the stage with luminaries such as Emmylou Harris, Richard Thompson, Ani diFranco, Indigo Girls, and Greg Brown, and has attracted an audience that stretches from Anchorage to Amsterdam.
